It’s truly a dream to be able to build bikes for a living. There’s one inherent problem with it though, and that is: when you’re dreaming about building a bike you’re likely building your dream bike. Unfortunately this is the real world and being able to afford to keep all of these dream bikes is fricken HARD!
Lately I’ve been getting some builds done again after taking a small hiatus due to the load of photo and administrative duties I have to do kind of taking over. I’ve been so happy to be able to pick up a wrench again, it’s my favorite thing to do here. This ‘Bat build I had been scheming up for a bit. I felt I hadn’t seen the Tangerine Wombats built up too much, so I decided to see how it looks and do a build of my own. This thing turned out SO SICK. I’m such a fan of it I’ve decided to try to copy the build for my personal ‘Bat, with a few little changes.
Here is a quick little rundown of whats on this build:
70mm SimWorks Rhonda Stem
IRD Long Pull Levers hooked up to Tektro Quartz V-Brake
165mm White Industries A30 Crankset with 32t Non-Boost Ring (18t Surly Cog out back) and Matching Bottom Bracket
Wheels Built In House: 27.5″ 32h Velocity Cliffhangers laced to NOS Deore XT Hubs wrapped in 2.6″ Vittoria Mezcals
