I’m going to keep this short and sweet, because I’d say this bike speaks for itself. Aaron reached out to us and asked us to help him build up this custom Evasion complete. He is right at 5′ 9″ tall, so the Extra Medium is a perfect fit for him. We used our go-to drivetrain with the Microshift Bar End Shifter, White Industries A30 Crank, and Sram GX goodies. It’s got some TRP RRL SR Levers hooked up to some Crust Palm Oil Brakes. He’ll steer this ship with a 52cm 31.8 Nullabar, wrapped in Soft Palm Bar Tap, clamped to a 70mm SimWorks Rhonda, seated upon the classic Brooks B17. We almost exclusively recommend the Velocity Complete Wheelsets on this bike when it comes to Evasions. They’re Blunt 35s laced to a Velocity ATB 6 Bolt Hub out back and a Velocity Dynamo up front. These components have become our go-to’s for Evasion builds. Together they create the perfect all arounder Evasion thats ready to ride rough singletrack, take on a tour, or just cruise some back roads in the mountains.
