This Bombora belongs to Crust’s very own Latané Coghill. If you’ve been following along with Dropped Chain, you may remember that name from the photo set I shot of his trusty FBM Sword I posted a few months ago (hit that link and check that out if you haven’t already). It’s a really sick bike and will give you a bit of insight to the man himself. Not too long after shooting that bike check he built up this 56cm Bombora. I’ve been really slacking shooting the bike, but I’m glad I have, because the build has been really refined since it was first built. The biggest refinement being the addition of a 165mm Ignite Inferno Crankset with a 38t Wolftooth 1x chainring. That, along with the 27.5″ Ultradynamico Mars mounted to a Crust Disc Brake Wheelset, and the 12 speed Eagle drivetrain makes this the the perfect rig for the rolling hills and valleys of Virginia’s Piedmont Region, or out west in the Blue Ridge Mountains climbing up and bombing down some gravel roads. Latané’s Bommie has plenty of flare with the notable bits being the classic Dean seat post, a Pewter Sotto Voce Chris King Headset, a set of MOREGOODER Valve Stem Caps, and some finely twined cable routing.
