Matt and I were tucked away on a side street shooting photos of Scott’s Nor’Easter and both of us looked over and saw this dude out of nowhere wheeling down the street on a disc Lightning Bolt. He ended up being at the coffee spot we went to after and let us shoot a few photos. As soon as I find out his name (again, sorry) I’ll update this post. BREAKING NEWS! Not everyone has the time or the means to build an Instagram™ Bike. Not me, at least. It helps that I have a tendency to collect and hoard bike parts and I think pretty much everything is possible with some clever hacking. That said, I’m going to step you through my latest build on this pre-production Lightning Bolt from 2017, with parts primarily with the aim to clear the dust bunnies out of my parts bin.
Sat down with Max Trejo to talk about this bike and the upcoming Mid-South race. I thought Jimmy would interview him but he didn’t, and instead just talked about Scandinavian Swimmers.
